Photo Assignment 4: Composition

I don't particularly find photos of people interesting, but I was asked to take band photos for my friends so I made sure the place was interesting. I liked the wall of the dam and the round holes in the ground.

I think each of these compositions leads the viewers eye around the image by the placement of each person, and the framing of the surrounding walls.

  1. I think you did a great job creating focus on each person in the photos. They all seem to have some sort of frame around the group and the arrangments of each person carries your eye around each picture. You use the spacing between them to balance the photogrpahs. You definitely picked an awesome place to do this and I'm curious as to where it is. Over all, very well done!

  2. Thank you!...It's a dam in my hometown of Carthage, NY...one of my many favorite places to chill and get away from the chaos of society.

  3. I'm loving the scenery in these pictures. It looks like a lot of stuff to play around with. I really like the pictures with the guys around those circles where you can see the water. The main reason I like these is probably because there's always something for my eye to be looking at without feeling cluttered, it's all balanced (like Erin said).
