Final Portfolio
The beauty of photography is taking something ordinary and making it extraordinary. Capturing light never produces the same result twice, which makes light photography the ultimate medium for abstract art. It is amazing how the passing by of traffic on the highway, the spinning of a disco ball, or even a simple landscape can become something else entirely.

Featured Photographer (#131): Matthew McKee
I chose this photographer because I like the imagery of the fruits being grenades. I also like how vivid and bright the colors are. The only criticism that the jurors had was that the message wasn't clear and the images are too repetitive. I agree with the jurors that the images are repetitive but I think the repetitive imagery works for the portfolio. As for the message of these photos I also disagree with the juror. These are pictures of fruits made to look like grenades, perhaps to signal the dangers of the food industry, or perhaps just to look cool as grenades, either way I don't think the message really matters because photography is open to many interpretations.
